During the workshop, we will go over several principles and techniques for painting sky and clouds :

• Adding depth to the sky with correct color and value sequences
• Simplifying cloud shapes without loosing their character
• lights and shadows or how to make your clouds look 3-dimensional
• Mark-making as it relates to sky and clouds
• Sunny vs. overcast days and how that affects cloud colors

We will be doing several small studies to practice the above principles as well as a more finished painting at the end.

This workshop is for artists of all levels and no prior experience is required. You can use either acrylic, oil (no solvents) or watercolour paint. Pastels are not allowed in this workshop.
