Are you unsure about what colours to use for a painting? Do you have tons of paints from different workshops? Do you want to learn about colour theory? Then this one-day workshop is for you!

Artist Brittney Tough will demonstrate how to set up a colour palette that is easy to use and that will make luminous watercolours while avoiding mud! She will explain both analogous and complimentary approaches to painting as well as show you how to identify colour temperatures. You will leave this class with confidence in your colour palette and with the knowledge to mix infinite colours!

This workshop will help you to plan, anticipate and create more harmonious paintings. You will use simple still life objects such as fruit and vegetables to practice using our new found colour knowledge. By the end of the workshop you will have your own versatile colour palette and know how to use it! In addition, you will learn how to read and understand analogous and complimentary approaches to painting, and how to use the colour wheel to identify warm and cool colours.
