BRUSHES
AQUA ELITE™
Series 4850
Aqua Elite is an innovative synthetic-hair paint brush that is indistinguishable from natural Kolinsky, yet significantly more affordable. The performance of this new synthetic hair brush technology makes Princeton Aqua Elite the new standard for discerning watercolor artists.
Neptune™
Series 4750
When we set out to create a synthetic version of squirrel, we developed a brush that may actually outperform the natural version. Neptune™ is our softest and thirstiest synthetic brush, delivering oceans of color. Experts in natural hair have been incredulous that this is actually synthetic. We are proud to offer Neptune™ in a beautiful range of shapes including mottlers and quills with rich wood tones and sea glass aquarelle handles.
Aspen™
Series 6500
Princeton’s Aspen™ combines several important benefits to artists: the brush retains its shape for control and placement of color, paint releases and glides evenly off the synthetic hairs. The brush can be used with all acrylic and oil paints including water-soluble oils. The non-glare ferrule makes Aspen™ perfect for outdoor painting. A beautiful brush only surpassed by its performance.
Catalyst™ Polytip Bristle
Series 6400
Catalyst™ Polytip Bristle brushes are another breakthrough that advances the science of synthetic hair. Unlike natural hog bristle, Catalyst™ has integrity in water. The true advance in Catalyst™ is the tip of each individual hair has been split to replicate the natural flags on the finest natural bristle. By giving each individual hair 2 to 3 distinct tips, Catalyst™ is able to hold a higher volume of paint while providing a smoother application.
Imperial™
Series 6600
Once a popular choice for oil painters for it’s medium to firm touch, natural mongoose has become more tightly controlled by international governments. Fortunately, our synthetic mongoose is comparable to the original’s quality, yet more durable and affordable. Synthetic mongoose performs beautifully in all viscosities of oil paint.
