Brittney is an international award-winning artist who has shown her work in prestigious exhibitions across Canada and the United States, with watercolour paintings collected privately and publicly. Brittney has also juried some of these esteemed art exhibitions. Her work has been featured in numerous publications including Splash, Southwest Art, The Artist’s Magazine, Uppercase, Create! And Watercolour Artist.
Brittney earned a Fine Arts Degree in Painting from the Alberta University of the Arts in 2007 and is based in Calgary, Alberta. Brittney pulls from her experience in design, drawing, oil, acrylic and sculpture, and now specializes in watercolour.
Brittney is a sought out watercolour instructor with 15 years of experience. The exquisite technical excellence and sophisticated colour of Brittney’s paintings reflect her unique teaching style. She’s most notably a technical instructor, ready to break down concepts into simple, step by step instruction, and yet, adapts her approach depending on the goals of her students. Her mentorship has helped many students realize their own watercolour aspirations and she is excited to carry on this mentorship at Kensington Art Supply.
