MEDIUMS
Synthetic Ox Gall
Adding a small amount improves the flow of the paint on the paper and gives shine and brightness. Use to prepare for wet-on-wet techniques. Does not affect the surface colour tone.
Honey-based watercolour medium
Natural flower honey solution made to a traditional recipe. A small amount added to paint enhances shine. Improves the elasticity of the paint layer. Does not affect tone colour.
Gomma arabica Kordofan
Natural gum arabic solution. A small amount added to paint enhances shine. Increases the strength of the paint. Does not affect tone colour.

Colourless artists’ masking latex
Used for masking techniques. Protects the paper from taking up colour. Apply with a paintbrush or pen nib. Wash brushes immediately in water. Peel off when completely dry.
