In this workshop with Yulia Tsinko, we will go over several principles and techniques for painting mountains:

• how to simplify what you see
• rocky formations as basic geometric figures
• lights and shadows
• mountain colours, demystified
• textures.

We will be doing several small studies to practice the above principles as well as a more finished painting at the end.

This workshop is for artists of all levels and no prior experience is required. You can use either acrylic, oil (no solvents), or watercolour paint. Pastels are not allowed in this workshop.
