October 3rd – Maritime Birch Trees with Sheila Schaetzle

2020 - Oct 03 18X24 Birch Trees CROPPED

Maritime Birch Trees with Sheila Schaetzle

Join Sheila for a fun-filled day of painting that will take you on an inspiring journey through her hometown in New Brunswick.Throughout the class, students will experiment with various acrylic techniques and learn how to recreate the wonderful colours and textures of the Maritimes. Using both brushes and palette knives you will learn how to properly tone your canvas, set up an under-painting, create soft edges, and establish an abstract background perfect for any subject matter. Sheila’s workshop will provide a safe and supportive environment where students can openly discuss their pieces and improve through conversations with each other.

The suggested supply list will be sent out upon registration and will include a range of colours, all chosen to work harmoniously with each other on the canvas. Students receive a 15% Discount on all supplies and Sheila will be in the classroom 30 minutes before the designated start time to answer any questions you may have.

Covid 19 information: We will be social distancing with a max of 7 students per room.  Participants are expected to use hand sanitizers, and good social distancing protocols.  Masks used at your discretion. There will not be coffee service at this time.  We will strive to provide a safe atmosphere.
